Benefits Agency

A now-defunct executive agency within the now-defunct Department of Social Security (DSS). The Benefits Agency was replaced by Jobcentre Plus in April 2002 and is now part of The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). Jobcentre Plus issues benefits to those of a working age, and helps the unemployed to find a job.
